Woody G. Rochelle

TYLER — Woody G. Rochelle, age 86, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 in Tyler, Texas. He was born April 4, 1937 in Baytown, Texas. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Pastor Bruce Rudd. Woody served our country in the United States Marine Core reserves. Woody was employed with Flowers Industries for over nineteen years where he served as Senior Vice President. He worked for over forty-two years in the baking industry before retiring in 2000. He loved spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Woodrow and Alline (Payne) Rochelle. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Rochelle of Lindale; son: Ronnie and wife, Nina Rochelle of Tyler; daughters: Jeri Rochelle Noble of Lindale, Jeanne and husband, Loyd Ellis of Chandler, Jami Rochelle Daniel of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; along with 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Brad Taylor, Jimmy Maddox, Dean Stone, Velmer Heim, Ken Robins and Tommy Parker.
