Pamela “Pam” Conaway Bice
TYLER — Pamela “Pam” Conaway Bice, of Tyler Texas, succumbed to interstitial lung disease Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in Colorado Springs CO. She passed away peacefully surrounded by both of her children. Pam grew up in Tyler, TX, graduating from Robert E Lee High School in 1960 and then Austin College in 1964. Pam was a teacher in several schools in Texas and had a passion to teach the next generation. She also spent time teaching English as a second language, co-leading Sunday School and attending numerous Bible studies.
Pam was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her Son, Jeff Bice of Tyler (wife Stefanie;) Daughter, Jenny Bice Bates of Georgetown (husband Kenneth;) and six grandchildren: Joshua Bice (wife Lexus,) Alexandra Bice, Madeline Bice Clark (husband Carey Clark,) Hayden Bates (wife Caroline,) Cambell Bates and Kinley Bates; one great grandchild: Jack Bice. Brother, Roger Conaway (wife Phyllis,) and Brother, Steve Conaway (wife Janet.) Further survived by other relatives and friends. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Marjorie Conaway and her husband of 55 years, James “Jim” Henry Bice.
Pam had a strong relationship with God through the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and she is now seeing Him face to face in heaven. Among her family, Pam “Honey” was known as a prayer warrior. She continued the tradition that her mother started by praying for her whole family by name every day of their lives. She took every opportunity to love and serve others, her family first and others as they lived in Austin, Chicago, Singapore, Minnesota, Colorado and here in Tyler.
The celebration of Pam’s life will be held at Sylvania Church, of which Pam was a member, at 12:00 noon Saturday, August 24th. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial gifts can be made to missions at SylvaniaChurch.com/give or to missions at BethelBible.com/give.
