‘Gunsmoke Trail’ hit theaters on this date in 1938 featuring Marshall native Henry Roquemore in a leading role.

 That role was a departure for Roquemore who was seen in mostly bit roles and uncredited parts during a 20-year career that began in 1925.

 He appeared in more than 200 films.
