A woman was taken to a Dallas hospital for treatment following an overnight fire at a vacant home in Tyler.

According to the Tyler Fire Department, the fire started just before 1 a.m. at a vacant house in the 800 block of Mockingbird Lane, near PT Cole Park. Officials said they believe homeless people were in the residence at the time of the blaze.

Deputy Fire Marshal Larry Crowson tells CBS19 the fire spread to a neighboring house and also consumed a van.
