Wine Swirl returning to Tyler on Saturday

The Downtown Tyler Wine Swirl on Saturday will lure patrons to the downtown square with the promise of sampling wine, food and music.
“The inaugural Downtown Tyler Wine Swirl was an overwhelming success last year,” Main Street Director Beverly Able said in a posting on the city’s website. “We sold out of tickets prior to the event, and post-event surveys of our participants were incredibly positive.”
Ticket holders will be able to go to businesses around the downtown square and sample goods from area wineries and restaurants. Some sites will have live music.
“The Wine Swirl is a fundraiser for the City of Tyler Main Street Department, which has the mission to revitalize the heart of our city,” Ms. Able said. “Though Main Street is a city department, the program must fundraise a large portion of its annual budget.”
Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased on line at outhousetickets.com or call or call the City of Tyler Main Street Department at 903-593-6905.
