The Smith County Historical Society Museum in Tyler, Texas, is the place to learn about our county's past. This museum is rich in historic items, videos, and pictures for the public to enjoy. Sam Kidd does a great job managing, as well as explaining the many opportunities presented through the museum. The Smith County Historical Society is a non-profit organization and the museum is open to the public on Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
