UPDATE: Smith County Sheriff’s Office releases surveillance photographs of convenience store robbery suspect

The Smith County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect in the aggravated robbery of the Indian Creek Mart convenience store in the 13600 block of Spur 364 in Tyler. 

Deputies were called to the store shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday when the store clerk reported a man wearing a black bandanna around his face had entered the store, pointed a gun and demanded money. 



The sheriff’s office said the man fled on foot after the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. 

The clerk, who was unharmed in the incident, told deputies the man left on foot with the money. 

The suspect in the robbery is described as a black man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing about 125 pounds and wearing a grey jacket with a hood.
