Tyler Police investigating overnight attempted robbery of gas station

A man’s attempt to rob a store with a knife was foiled after the clerk threatened him with a taser and chased him out of the store.
According to Tyler Police, at approximately 12:30 AM, they responded to a robbery that just occurred at The Pac-N-Sac gas station, 403 S SE Loop 323. Upon arrival, officers were informed by the clerk that a young Hispanic male wearing a black hoodie, entered the store armed with a pocket knife. The suspect walked around the counter and demanded money. The female clerk was armed with a taser and refused to comply with the suspect. She then threatened him with the taser and chased him out of the store. The suspect fled the scene heading South bound on foot. Nothing was taken during the robbery and no injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a young Hispanic Male, with a thin build, approximately 5’7″, wearing a black hoodie.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. At this time there are no further details and is an active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tyler Police Department.
