TxDOT announces upcoming road work

Events and work planned for the week of June 24 in the Tyler District, provided by the Texas Department of Transportation:
SMITH COUNTY
Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge repairs on Interstate 20 between Texas Highway 155 and U.S. Highway 271.
A second crew is scheduled to continue ditch work on Farm-to-Market Road 346 between U.S. Highway 69 in Flint and Farm-to-Market Road 756 near Whitehouse.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.
ANDERSON COUNTY
TxDOT maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform seal coat operations on Farm-to-Market Road 1990 between U.S. Highway 79 south of Palestine and Texas Highway 294.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic. Loose gravel may be present for several days following a seal coat application.
CHEROKEE COUNTY
Maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue resurfacing operations in various locations on Farm-to-Market Road 855 between U.S. Highway 175 in Cuney and U.S. Highway 69 in Mount Selman.
In Jacksonville, TxDOT contract crews are scheduled to continue pavement-repair and resurfacing operations on Farm-to-Market Road 347 (Bolton Street) between Cherokee Street and South Loop 456.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
HENDERSON COUNTY
Maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue seal coat operations on Farm-to-Market Road 2636 southeast of Malakoff.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic. Loose gravel may be present for several days following a seal coat application.
LONGVIEW
Maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on Southwest Loop 281, between Farm-to-Market Road 2205 (Jaycee Drive) and U.S. Highway 80 (Marshall Ave.).
Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.
MINEOLA
TxDOT contract crews this week are scheduled to apply a seal coat to Loop 564 between U.S. Highway 69 North and U.S. Highway 69 South.
Elsewhere in Wood County, TxDOT maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on Farm-to-Market Road 2422, between U.S. Highway 80 east of Mineola, and Farm-to-Market Road 1804 (Hoard Road).
Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas. Loose gravel may be present for several days following a seal coat application.
RUSK COUNTY
Maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on Farm-to-Market Road 782, between Farm-to-Market Road 1716 in Oak Hill and Texas Highway 149 near the Gregg County line.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers and pilot vehicles will control traffic.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY
Maintenance crews this week are scheduled to resume base and pavement repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 1651 between Texas Highway 198 and Texas Highway 19 south of Canton.
A second crew is scheduled to perform base and edge repairs on Texas Highway 19 north of Canton between Interstate 20 and U.S. Highway 80
Elsewhere, TxDOT maintenance crews are scheduled to continue resurfacing work on Farm-to-Market Road 16 in and around Van.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.
