Tyler Junior College will sponsor two archaeological and biblical tours of Greece March 10 to 19 and May 19 to June 4.

Participants will see both ancient and modern Greece. Long considered the cradle of Western civilization, Greek culture provides the basis for many ideas about the classical literature, mythology, language, democracy, governance, Christianity, war, science, medicine, education, art, architecture and sports.

The trips, in essence, will provide a crash course in ancient Greek history and an education in the origins of the Western world.

The cost for the 10-day tour is $1,790 for the land portion plus the airfare. A deposit of $790 is required by Nov. 1. Full payment is due by Jan. 3.

The cost for the 14-day tour is $3,265 for the land portion plus the airfare. A deposit of $1,265 is required by Jan. 3. Full payment is due by Feb. 2.
