Three suspected burglars detained by Smith County sheriff’s deputies

TYLER – Three suspected burglars are now in custody by Smith County Sheriff’s Office Deputies after a brief pursuit this morning.

At 10:20 this morning, a call was received by the Smith County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch from a homeowner in the 18000 block of County Road 234. The homeowner reported that upon arriving home, three black males were seen leaving the residence, and that the men fled in a gold vehicle.

At 10:41 a.m., Smith County Sheriff’s Office deputies pulled over 2004 gold Chevrolet Impala and detained the three men.

They are currently being questioned.
