The United Way of Smith County celebrates the day of caring with projects throughout Smith County

The United Way of Smith County will celebrate the Day of Caring at 7:30 a.m. Friday with breakfast at First Christian Church.

Volunteers will mobilize into work forces to provide hands-on help for nonprofit human service agencies.



Around 8:15 a.m. the volunteers will leave for their projects, come back at 1 p.m. and end the day at 3 p.m.

More than 35 projects are planned for volunteers to work on and more than 400 to 500 volunteers were needed to complete the projects. 

Projects range from indoors, landscaping and painting.
