Texas Bank and Trust Photography Contest Call for Entries Announced

Entries from amateur and professional photographers will be accepted the week of June 17-21 for Texas Bank and Trust’s 37th annual Photography Contest and Exhibition.

Photographers may enter up to six photographs, and entries must be submitted at the Main Bank lobby at 300 E. Whaley in Longview.



The five categories are: Landscape, Fine Art, Nature, Human Interest and Cool Kids. The Cool Kids category is open to all child photographers 6 through 12 years of age.

All photographs must be taken within the state of Texas. The entry fee is $5 per photograph.

The awards reception will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. June 30 at the Main Bank.

Cash prizes will be awarded in each of the five categories and for Best of Show (juror’s choice), the Chairman’s Award, the Vice Chairman’s Birthday Card Award, the President’s Award, the Christmas Card Award and the OMNIClub Birthday Card Award. Winning photographs will be featured in Texas Bank and Trust’s 2020 Collector’s Calendar.

Photographs will remain on display in the Main Bank lobby through July 11. The general public is invited to place their votes for the People’s Choice Award.

Juror for this year’s competition is Greg Patterson. A professional photographer since 1988, Patterson provides photography services for a variety of clients. He and his wife Cindy own and operate House of Photography in Nacogdoches, and have provided photographic services for more than 25 years.
