Smith County Final returns: Smith, Phillips, Dunklin re-elected. Constable 4 headed to runoff

Sheriff Larry Smith won a second term against race against challenger Chris Green, according to complete but unoffical election totals.

Incumbent Smith County Precinct 3 Commissioner Terry Phillips fended off challengers in his race as well, the totals show.



Incumbent Precinct 4 Constable John Smith is heading toward a runoff, while incumbent Precinct 2 Constable Andy Dunklin ssecured his seat for another term.

Bill Bala: 1,387 votes, 15.6 percent

Terry Phillips: 5,130 votes, 57.8 percent

Andy Dunklin: 9,665 votes, 78. percent

Jason Newport: 2,718 votes, 22 percent

Charles Garrett: 638 votes, 21.8 percent

John G. Smith: 1,148 votes, 39.1 percent

Josh Joplin: 702 votes, 23.9 percent

Tim Thompson: 446 votes, 15.2 percent

Chad McElyea: 1,843 votes, 31.9 percent

Jeff McClenny: 3,927 votes, 68.1 percent

Brent Thompson: 17,432 votes, 63.6 percent
