Published 8:26 pm Friday, July 7, 2017
The Tyler Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking the public’s input on amendments to its transportation improvement program.
The program lists the planned transportation improvements that are to be implemented between the 2017 through 2020 fiscal years.
The open house will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 11 at the Tyler Development Center, 423 W. Ferguson St.
The proposed amendment involves updating the Transit Project Description funding information to allow for planning and technical studies.
The meeting kicks off a 10-day public comment period, from July 11-21, for revisions to the program, which will be considered for adoption at the MPO Policy Committee Meeting at 2 p.m. July 27.
Staff from the Tyler Area MPO and Tyler Transit will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on the plan’s amendments. The ultimate goal of the open house is to gather public comments on the proposed amendments.
A copy of the TIP will be available for review at the MPO office, 423 W. Ferguson St., as well as online at www.tylerareampo.org.
Residents also will be able to provide feedback by contacting the MPO at mpo@tylertexas.com or by calling 903-531-1175, ext. 5.
