Rusk took on Douglass at home where they lost 60-44.
“I thought we played well. We ran out of gas in the second half.
Not having our leading rebounder Elijah Ward was a big difference tonight,” said head coach Kenneth Reynolds. “However, our effort was there and I’m very proud of how we played.”
Owen McCown led in scoring with 16 points. Aiden McCown finished with 10 points. Heston Kelly had several assists and points. Brailen Trawick and Spencer Barnett were also key contributors.
The Rusk Eagles will play in the Houston County Tournament starting December 28th through the 30th.
