The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday about 6 miles north of Palestine in Anderson County, according to a news release from the department.
The DPS said the preliminary crash investigation showed Ruby Kwame, 34, was driving south on U.S. Highway 287 in a 2005 Camry when the car veered from the southbound lane into the northbound lane, went into the north ditch and struck a trash bin and a tree.
Kwame was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the DPS.
The DPS said a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old boy were taken to Palestine Regional Medical Center, where they later died.
An 8-month-old girl was taken to Palestine Regional Medical Center in stable condition, according to the department.
The DPS said the initial report indicates all in the car were restrained.
