One person was arrested and eight other people were found to be in possible violation of regulations affecting registered sex offenders in Henderson County.

A team of 34 officers from the Henderson County Sheriff’s office, along with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, did unannounced checks on 146 registered sex offenders in the county Thursday.

During the checks, registered sex offender Kevin Ingram was found to be in possession of a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The specific nature of the other eight possible violations was not specified in a statement released by Sheriff Ray Nutt.
