A traffic stop by a Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy early Thursday morning landed a Larue man in jail on suspicion he was carrying a stolen gun linked to a burglary.
The deputy pulled over Brandon Curtis Justice, 37, for a traffic violation on County Road 4712 about 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Justice told the deputy he had two firearms in his trunk, according to the sheriff’s office.
When the deputy looked up the serial number of the 12-gauge shotgun in the law enforcement terminal, it was identified as being stolen during a burglary.
Justice was arrested for theft of a firearm, a state jail felony. Justice was booked into the Henderson County jail. His bond was set at $10,000.
