A Longview resident has claimed a top-prize winning ticket worth $1 million in the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game $1,000,000 Crossword.
The ticket was purchased at CEFCO No. 1117 at 3100 E. End Blvd N. in Marshall.
The winner elected to remain anonymous.
This was the fourth of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in the game, according to the Texas Lottery. $1,000,000 Crossword offers more than $152.4 million in total prizes. Overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.41, including break-even prizes.
The winning ticket marks the eighth time since September 2020 that a Texas Lottery game has made a new millionaire in the Longview area.
The latest was in January, when a Longview resident claimed a winning ticket worth $3 million in the Texas Lottery’s 500X Loteria Spectacular scratch-off game.
That ticket was sold at Fuel Depot Corner Mart No. 2 on Gilmer Road in Longview.
