LONGVIEW (KYTX) – Do you have a non-emergency problem like potholes and street light issues, but not sure whom to notify in Longview? Well, now there’s an app for that called CitySend.
CitySend is specifically designed for Longview. Residents that identify a non-emergency issue can take a picture of it and mark the location. The information is then sent to the correct department to investigate.
Longview resident Kristi Golden said potholes are the worst while she’s driving, and likes the idea of the app. She said it’s a great way to keep Longview beautiful.
“It’s really cool,” Golden said. “If I come across a problem, I can just take a picture and send it.”
Longview spokesman Shawn Hara said the app is an effective way for residents to communicate with the city of Longview.
“In order to fix something we have to know about it,” Hara said. “You can track to see if something has taken place.”
Hara said when the app is used, the information is sent to the city’s work order system.
The app is free and available for smartphones and desktops.
