KILGORE — The city of Kilgore has named Rachel Rowe as its new city manager.

Rowe has been serving as interim city manager for the past five months and has worked at City Hall for 25 years, including as city clerk.

“I appreciate the council’s trust and the support of our staff and community,” Rowe said. “Kilgore is home, and I’m excited to keep working with our team to serve the city and keep things moving forward.”

Rowe and her husband, John, have called Kilgore home for 29 years, where they have raised their children and grandchildren.

Rowe succeeds Josh Selleck, who stepped down from his longtime post last year to pursue other opportunities.

“With 25 years of dedicated service, her leadership, and the continuity she has demonstrated as interim city manager, she is well-equipped to guide our city through its next chapter,” Mayor Ronnie E. Spradlin said.
