Christmas carols, bible studies among upcoming faith-based events

CHRISTMAS EVEFirst Presbyterian will host a Moravian Lovefeast at 5 p.m. Dec. 24 in the sanctuary. The service will consist of scripture and song accompanied by a feast of Moravian buns and hot cocoa. For more information go to jpctyler.com/events/lovefeast.

CHRISTMAS EVE CAROLSTyler Unity Center of Practical Christianity will hold Christmas Carols with Jim Henderson at 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve. Henderson will lead bright cheerful carols and the evening will close with a candlelight service.



CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICECommunity Christian Fellowship, 15704 State Highway 110 N, Lindale invites the community to a 6 p.m. Christmas Eve candlelight service. The service will include Christmas carols, the Christmas story presented to the young children, a special children’s Christmas choir and candle lighting. For more information call 903.882.8501. There will be no service on Sunday, Christmas Day.

BIBLE STUDIESHolly Brook Baptist Church, 3219 S. Farm-to-Market Road 2869 in Hawkins, will offer Bible studies for men and women. The men’s Bible study will begin on Jan. 3 from 8:15 to 9 a.m. The study is based on Ecclesiastes 2:24, 3:13, 5:19, 8:15. The women’s class, from a Beth Moore study of the Old Testament book of Esther, will begin Jan. 11 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The women’s retreat will be held Feb. 18 at Holly Hall at Holly Lake Ranch.
