A book sale scheduled for today will benefit educational endeavors in Smith County.
The Tyler Branch of the American Association of University Women will have its annual book sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 210 Shelley Drive in Tyler.
Available books include thrillers, children's, classics and cookbooks, according to a news release.
Hardbacks will cost $1 and paperbacks will cost 50 cents.
The association advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
Book sale proceeds will help fund educational endeavors including scholarships for Smith County area high school and college women.
"The response to the book sale has always been outstanding," according to the news release. "We hope the community will come out and stock up from a great selection of books and support a worthwhile cause."
