Halloween-lovers and otherwise spooky folks can get their fix at the now open Spirit Halloween store in Tyler.

Despite social media posts circulating earlier this fall about no Spirit Halloween coming to Tyler this year, the annual tradition lives on.

Post after post could be found on social media, from local community Facebook groups to personal pages, as word begin to spread that Spirit Halloween would not be locating in Tyler this year. However, the popup shop has indeed found a home in Tyler this year.

A Spirit Halloween opened Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 4516 S. Broadway Ave. in Tyler, which is the former Pier 1 location.

“Halloween lovers are invited to celebrate the season with the retailer’s exclusive haunting in-store experience, which has become a must-see Halloween staple,” the store states on its website.

Now it its 41st year, the store has promoted Halloween “from a single day of excitement into a season-long celebration, with so many enthusiasts showcasing their love for Halloween all year long,” the website states.

The store says it “has everything Halloween fans need, from the classics to the hottest new trends.” The store stocks virtually everything from costumes to makeup and decor for upcoming celebrations.

“At our Texas stores, you’ll find a treasure trove of costumes for everyone in the family,” the store states on its website. “Whether you’re searching for a glamorous women’s ensemble, a dashing men’s outfit, or an adorable kids’ costume, we have it all. Our collection includes a wide range of officially licensed costumes inspired by your favorite movies, TV shows, video games, and anime characters. From timeless classics like Barbie and Harry Potter to contemporary favorites like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Fall Guy, we have the perfect costume for every taste and style.”

It’s more than just costumes, though. The store also offers a vast selection of spine-chilling animatronics and jaw-dropping decorations.

“From indoor to outdoor décor, our store is brimming with everything you need to create an eerie atmosphere,” the website states. “Whether you’re looking for haunted house props, spooky lighting, or realistic makeup and props, our aisles are filled with a wide array of items to bring your Halloween vision to life.”

Spirit Halloween is the largest Halloween retailer in the country, according to the store’s website. With more than 1,500 seasonal locations in strip centers and malls across North America, Spirit is the one-stop destination for all things Halloween.

There are multiple other Spirit Halloween locations in East Texas, including: 1307 E. Marshall Ave. in Longview, 3801 N. Street 3 in Nacogdoches; and 4600 S. Medford Dr. in Lufkin.
