Two companies are looking to hire new workers in Tyler, and both offer competitive pay and benefits.
On Monday, Chipotle Mexican Grill will hold an Open Interview Day at its restaurant at 4751 S. Broadway Ave.
And Domino’s Pizza is looking to hire as many as 150 new workers statewide.
“We’re just looking for crew members who want a great job and a great place to work,” says Chipotle’s T.J. Doyel, an apprentice team leader for the fast-casual chain.
According to a release, Chipotle is very specific in what it’s looking for.
“Chipotle has developed a list of 13 characteristics to describe its top-performing candidates, including: ambitious, happy, smart, polite, respectful, honest, conscientious, presentable, curious, motivated, hospitable, high energy and infectiously enthusiastic,” the company says. “Applicants who embody these important characteristics can complete an application in-restaurant, submit an application using Chipotle’s new mobile job application app from a mobile device or tablet, or enter an application online at http://jobs.chipotle.com.”
But there will also be an Open Interview Day on Monday, April 13. There will be two times for prospective workers to drop in: from 8 to 10 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m.
“In addition to industry-leading opportunities for career advancement and development, Chipotle offers competitive pay and benefits to all employees. Whether you are looking for a full- or part-time position, a growth oriented career, or just somewhere to have fun while you work — Chipotle is the employer of choice,” said Chipotle’s recruiting strategist for the southwest region, Emilio Williamson. “We open a new restaurant every two days placing emphasis on food with integrity and caring people cultures. We encourage anybody interested to join us on April 13 at your local Chipotle to learn more about our life changing opportunities.”
There are a number of positions open at the Tyler location, Doyel said, but “if we have great applicants, we’re happy to bring them on board.”
The company is planning to open more locations statewide, he added.
Domino’s Pizza is also hiring at locations throughout Tyler, and also in Athens, Kilgore, Longview, Henderson and other East Texas cities.
“We are excited to offer more jobs around Northeast Texas,” said Mac Mekonnen, local Domino’s franchise owner. “The growth of these communities and the success of the Domino’s brand allow us to build on our franchise, so we can continue to do what we do best — make great pizzas and deliver them with exceptional service.”
