Dog parks provide a great place for dogs and their owners to exercise and mingle with other pet owners and their four-legged friends.

Tyler is home to the Bossart Bark Park and the Sunrise Paw Park.

BOSSART BARK PARK

The  8-acre Bossart Bark Park, 3393 W. Grande Blvd., is open each day from dawn to dusk. It has areas that separate larger dogs from smaller ones.

Operated by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of East Texas, it is named in honor of Brent and Rhonda Bossart of Tyler, who donated the land.

Different sections of the park are in use depending on the day of the week. Signage at the park gives visitors instruction.

SUNRISE PAW PARK

The 4-acre Sunrise Paw Park located at 11415 County Road 166 (Baggett Road) is open each day from dawn to dusk. It also has separate fenced in areas for dogs of different sizes. 

The park has drinking fountains and a dog wash station. 

The park was developed by the Anderson-Vukelja Foundation and Tyler Sunrise Rotary Club.

The park is managed by the service club. It accepts donations to help maintain the park.
