UT Tyler to host ‘Smart and Connected Health’ conference

The University of Texas at Tyler will host a national science foundation workshop for science and engineering undergraduates this week.

Smart and Connected Health will run Wednesday through Friday in the University Center Ballroom.



The workshop kicks off at 9 a.m. Wednesday with UT Austin Dell Medical School professor Dr. David Paydarfar’s presentation “Edgy Oscillators in the Brain: Theory and Medical Applications.” Dr. Paydarfar is the department of neurology chair.

Speakers include UT Tyler professors, professionals from HP laboratories, the United States Air Force and more.

The event is co-sponsored by the UT Tyler Department of Electrical Engineering, UT Tyler’s Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Student chapter and Dell Medical School.
