Passover is one of Judaism’s most important holidays behind Yom Kippur. It commemorates the freedom of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and lasts for seven or eight days, depending upon the type of Jew (Orthodox, Conservative or Reform) and the location (in or outside of Israel).
