Children serve as rose queen’s attendants

During the coronation and other Texas Rose Festival events, Rose Queen Madeline Shirley Wynne will be accompanied by young attendants. The festival, “Royalty of the Under Water Realm,” will take place Oct. 15-18 in Tyler.
The attendants this year are:
Mason Gregory Adcock, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory S. Adcock, of Tyler, attends All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler.
His parents have helped host the Festival’s Kick Off Party and Thursday luncheon. His father was an usher in the coronation and is in Order of the Rose. His mother, Megan Byrd Adcock, and has been a Hospitality Room volunteer.
Other family members who have been involved in the festival are Mardi Byrd, grandmother, numerous positions including Rose Show co-chairwoman and dresser to the rose queen; Amy Jones Dowell, aunt, lady-in-waiting; Sarah Jones Olvey, aunt, lady-in-waiting; and J. Gib Jones, uncle, escort.
Brynn Eve Ballard, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian A. Ballard, of Tyler, attends Grace Community School in Tyler.
Her mother, Liz Ballard, is the executive director of the Texas Rose Festival Association and has served as Kick Off Party chairwoman, Hospitality chairwoman and a Queen’s Tea volunteer. Her father is member of Order of the Rose and has served as a Rose Festival volunteer.
Mary-Michael Dial, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Dial, of Tyler, attends Andy Woods Elementary School in Tyler.
Her father is president of the Strutters, the organization that stages the Rose Parade. Her mother, Michelle Flowers Dial, was a lady-in-waiting and has served many years as a backstage volunteer at the coronation.

Isabella Egana, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalo Egana, of Tyler, attends Grace Community School.

Frances Olivia Faulconer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Galen Faulconer, of Tyler, attends All Saints Episcopal School, in Tyler.

William Andrew “Drew” Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hughie Jackson, of Tyler, attends All Saints Episcopal School, in Tyler.
His mother, Deborah Norton Jackson, was a lady-in-waiting. Avery Lynn Uzzell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Uzzell, of Tyler, attends Dr. Bryan C. Jack Elementary School in Tyler.
Her father has been an escort and her mother, Sara Alfred Uzzell, has served as a coronation backstage volunteer and on Queen’s Tea and other committees.
