Quitman native Sissy Spacek was the host of “Saturday Night Live” on this date in 1977.
Spacek, who was riding new fame from her recent starring role in the horror film “Carrie,” showed off her comedy talent .
She played a member of a really bad acting troupe in a sketch titled “Bad Playhouse”and was paired with John Belushi in a sketch called “White Trash Romance.”
