The Cannery Lindale, The Pink Pistol, Love and War in Texas and the City of Lindale are hosting Pinktoberfest 2016 on Oct. 21-22, which also will serve as the official grand opening of Love and War in Texas and The Pink Pistol. 

Pinktoberfest begins Friday with pink-out at the Lindale High School football game. The Pink Pistol will welcome football fans to the store, and Love and War will host a football after party concert until midnight.

Saturday’s events feature bounce castles, dance teams, games, a chili cook-off, pet adoption, youth orchestra and carriage rides. Charlie Robison will end the evening with a concert at Love and War.

IF YOU GO: 

The Pink Pistol will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 22, and Love and War in Texas will be open from 11 a.m. Oct. 22 to 2 a.m. Oct. 23. 

Pinktoberfest Lineup 

• 7 a.m. – Donuts and coffee with the Terlingua chili cook-off contestants 


• 10 a.m. – Lindale High School choir sings the National Anthem to kick off the Texas Size Block Party 


• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Pink festivities (bounce houses, magician, kids games, face painting), Muttnation Foundation adoption, Miranda Lambert roses for sale, pumpkin patch with proceeds benefiting the splash pad

• 10 a.m. – Street dedication


• 10 a.m. – Star Steppers perform in front of the Pink Pistol


• 10 a.m. – Pretty In Pink Contest for pets and people


•  Noon – Pedro Ramirez at Love & War

• 1 p.m. – Macy Dot Neal at Love & War

• 1 p.m. – Turn in for Teralingqua chili cook off


• 2 p.m. – Habanero pepper eating contest at Love & War


• 3 p.m. – Chili tasting with donations going to Susan G. Komen
 Foundation
