Country music singer Koe Wetzel will hold a one-day music festival on March 23 at Lindale’s Cannery complex.
The first Koe Wetzel Incredible Music Festival will include performances by Parker McCollum, JB and the Moonshine Band and Chris Colston, concert promoters announced.
“I am so excited to be doing this,” Wetzel, a native of Pittsburg, said in a news release. “It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, put on my own music festival. And to do it right here in East Texas, where I grew up, I’m pumped.”
The festival, which also will include food, beverages and activities, is being produced by Townsquare Media, owner of the radio program “Radio Texas, Live! With Buddy Logan” and station 101.5 KNUE.
Townsquare Media also produces the Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival in downtown Tyler each May.
“We’re hoping to continue to build on the success of Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival by bringing awesome new events to East Texas, and there’s no one better way to do that than with a fellow East Texas native in Koe,” said Chase Colston, festival promoter.
Added Logan: “The underground swell of support this East Texas native has tapped into is amazing; it’s a once-in-a-generation phenomenon.”
Wetzel’s fan base grew after the release of his album “Noise Complaint” in 2016. His hits include “Something to Talk About,” “Austin” and “February 28, 2016.”
Tickets are on sale at KoeWetzelFestival.com. General admission tickets cost $25 and VIP tickets are $75.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boot Campaign and the Music & Arts Alliance of Texas, the announcement said.
