Junebug Summer Fair to bring artists, musicians, fun to Ben Wheeler June 18

The Junebug Summer Fair will return to Ben Wheeler on June 18, organizers announced. The daylong celebration features bands, artists, art activities, food and a farmer’s market.

It will take place in a three-acre park behind The Forge restaurant.



Joe Pirog will help participants create clay art. Children can make junebug art and view the tiny critters up close. Weaver Lisa Rush will lead a community art project and Kerian Massy will do face painting and henna art.

Artists set to show their work include: Lisa Rush, Joe Pirog, Carolyn Ellis, Kerian Massey, Jessica Lisby, Melissa Loyd, Deb Wood,  Denise Cooper, Sam Fontenot, Cheryl Hicks, Cindy Fuqua, Gale Mase, Sylvia Morse, Kelley Broadaway, of KjDesigns, Julie Howard and Bethany Boyd.

 Vendors include: Come Together Trading Company, Hand Stands & Hula Hoops and Henna by Kerian

 Musicians include: Jeff Gallagher, Jacob Ball, Pink Velvet, Meredith Crawford & the Backhand Band, Craig Wallace, Scatterproof, Whiskey Prophets and Americana.

Farmer’s market participants include: Gopher Knoll Farms, Earthstead Farms and Bob Williams Peach Tree Farm.
