Tashara Parker

Tashara Parker has been hired as the new evening anchor for CBS 19 and will step into her new role early November.

“The station is blessed to have an experienced group of on-air journalists and we are very excited to have Tashara joining our team,” General Manager John Gaston said.

Parker will anchor alongside new evening anchor Bryan Boes. Boes replaced newsman Mike Landess who recently moved to Denver to be closer to his family.

The new evening lineup isn’t the only move for the CBS affiliate.

Veteran anchors Gillian Sheridan and Dana Hughey will be trading places, with Hughey moving to evenings to anchor the 5 p.m. and co-host the 6 p.m. news.Sheridan will join Clint Yeatts in the morning, forming East Texas’ most experienced morning anchor team.
