Former Whitehouse grad to receive Juris Doctor from Yale Law School

James “Heath” Mayo, a 2009 graduate of White house High School, will receive his Juris Doctor degree at the 317th commencement exercises from Yale Law School.
Mayo graduated valedictorian from White house and earned a Master of Arts in history and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from Brown University in 2013. As a junior, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa as part of the top 1 percent of his class and ultimately finished Brown summa cum laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
After Brown, Mayo went to work for Bain & Co. in Boston as a management consultant, where he helped some of the country’s largest companies solve their strategic challenges. After two years with Bain, he enrolled at Yale Law School, winning the Cardozo and Potter Stewart Prizes for outstanding brief writing and oral advocacy in the Morris Tyler Moot Court of Appeals at Yale. He also achieved the prestigious Coker Fellowship, teaching and mentoring a starting small group during his third year.
Heath is the son of Jim and Staci Horn and Keith and Tana Mayo, all of Whitehouse.
