Keys: Both Pine Tree and Kilgore bounced back for an important week two win, so both are looking to build on their recent success in their week three matchup. The Pirates can build on last week’s outing by leaning on MJ Cates, Jordan Taylor, Trey Brown, Dalan Montgomery, and L’Marion Hunter on the offensive side, and Raimone Flournoy, Seth McFarland, Noah Salazar, Quinton Clark, Kesean Bowie, and Dealyn Evans on defense. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, need big peformances from offensive players Derrick Williams, Isaiah Watters, Matthew Hardy, and Zaylon Stoker, and defensive standouts Cameron Christian, PJ Wiley, Zaylon Stoker and Wylie Mitchell.
Did you know: Kilgore will meet Pine Tree during football season for the 16th time since 2004 … The Bulldogs own a 13-2 series edge during that stretch after wins in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022, but the Pirates have heated up with recent victories in 2018 and 2021.
