ROYSE CITY — Senoj Jones hit for 11 points Zareya Ceasar added eight points as the Tyler Legacy Lady Raiders scored a 41-36 win over Royse City on Tuesday in a District 10-6A girls basketball game.



The Lady Raiders improved to 26-4 overall and 8-1 in district.

Others scoring for Legacy were Nichole Baldwin (7), Holland Pine (6), Shanaya Shaw (4), DeCarla Bailey (3) and Cinahya Ekwuruke (2).

Ceasar had two 3-pointers with Baldwin adding one trey.

The Lady Bulldogs (11-19, 3-6) visit Rockwall-Heath on Friday.

The Lady Raiders are scheduled to host Longview at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

CANTON 45, MABANK 38

MABANK — In a matchup of District 15-4A leaders, the Canton Eaglettes scored a 45-38 win over Mabank on Tuesday.

Canton improves to 23-5 overall and 8-0 in district, while the Lady Panthers fell to 24-6 and 7-2).

Three Eaglettes were in double figures — Allison Rickman (13), Lily Cervantes (12) and Chloe Howe (11). Rickman had a 3-pointer.

Others scoring for Canton were Addison Capps (2), Izzie Stone (2) and Lexi Etheridge (2).

Kalli Smith led the Lady Panthers with 14 points, including three 3-pointers.

Also scoring for Mabank were Honey Aldridge (9), Jayda Searcy (6 points, 2 3-pointers), Jacey Jones (3 points, 1 3-pointer), Bailey Litchfield (3 points, 1 3-pointer) and Makinley White (3 points, 1 3-pointer).

BROWNSBORO 38, VAN 36, OT

VAN — Brownsboro rallied in the fourth quarter to force overtime and then outscored Van 5-3 in the extra period for a 38-36 win on Tuesday in a District 15-4A basketball game.

The Bearettes trailed 28-16 at halftime and 31-24 after three quarters and then outscored the Lady Vandals 9-2 in the fourth period for a 33-33 tie.

Parmer Fitzgerald paced Brownsboro with 10 points, followed by Tiykeah McKenzie (9), Bradie Cooper (8), Chyann Stidham (4), Riley Smith (2) and Sadie Piper (2).

Lanna Tschirhart and Landry Guy each scored 10 points for Van. Others scoring for the Lady Vandals were Kaelyn Harvey (7), Olivia Ryan (5) and Keeley Walker (4).

Brownsboro improves to 17-11 overall and 4-5 in district, while Van falls to 11-17 and 3-5.

Van visits Canton on Friday and Brownsboro hosts Lindale.

BULLARD 49, RUSK 47

RUSK — Lila Robertson put in 20 points to help Bullard edge Rusk, 49-47, on Tuesday.

Lanna Kidd hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points. Robertson made three triples.

Aariyah Campbell had 6 points, and Savanna Lewis, Allison Edwards and Emmalee Neuhaus all added 3 points.

Bullard (17-11, 4-2) will play at Hudson on Friday.

HAWKINS 49, UNION GROVE 31

UNION GROVE — Despite a slow first-half start, the Hawkins Lady Hawks rallied to a 48-31 victory over District 21-2A rival Union Grove.

With the win, the Lady Hawks improved to 9-0 in district play and 28-1 overall.

Taetum Smith led all scorers with 19 points, six rebounds, six steals, and four assists. Londyn Wilson added eight points. Ainsley Conner added six points. Alana Gipson grabbed six rebounds for Hawkins.

Other contributors for the Lady Hawks were: Jentri Evans (4 points, 2 steals); (Alaya Scoggins (4 points); Karysn Johnson (3 points); Addy Turrentine (2 points) and Haylee Skipworth (2 points).

LONGVIEW 40, FORNEY 37

LONGVIEW — At Lobo Coliseum, Jailyah Rockmore scored 18 points and the Longview Lady Lobos held off a late charge by Forney to notch a 40-37 District 10-6A win.

Paris Simpson added seven points for Longview, which led 32-24 heading into the fourth quarter. Trinity Huey had five points, Bethany Baltes four, Daniella Baeza three, Terri Sparkman two and Maya Ward one. Baeza led with five rebounds, Ward with four assists and Rockmore with two steals.

PINE TREE 38, CHAPEL HILL 32

LONGVIEW — At the Pirate Center, the Pine Tree Lady Pirates overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to earn a 38-32 District 16-4A win over the Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs.

It was the first loss in district for the Lady Bulldogs (19-9, 9-1).

Aaliyah Oliver finished with 15 points, five steals and seven rebounds for Pine Tree, which trailed 22-14 at the break before outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 10-3 in the third.

Jazmin Johnson added 10 points and three steals, and Jacky Barrera had nine points and five rebounds for Pine Tree.

Aryssa Cooper led Chapel Hill with 10 points. Lorena Taylor made three 3-pointers for ninie points. Freshman Rylee Steele and senior R’Nyah Tomlinson had five points apiece.

The Lady Pirates (19-11, 6-4) will visit Gilmer on Friday.

Chapel Hill plays host to Henderson on Friday.

Spring Hill 40, Kilgore 21

KILGORE —The Spring Hill Lady Panthers pulled away in a close, low-scoring game to earn a 40-21 District 16-4A win over the Kilgore Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday.

The Lady Panthers led 2-1 after one quarter and 12-3 at halftime.

Elizabeth Corbitt paced the Lady Panthers with 15 points. Calleigh Secord added nine off the bench. Zariah Turner finished with seven points, Kaylee Londeau four, Ava Burnett and Savannah Irwin two each and Kinzlee Castiglione one.

The Lady Panthers improve to 8-2 on the year with their 21st victory of the season.

HENDERSON 45, CUMBERLAND 36

The Henderson Lady Lions broke open a close game with a 15-6 run in the third quarter on the way to a 45-36 District 16-4A win over Cumberland Academy.

Danita Gonzalez paced Henderson with 14 points, eight steals and two rebounds. Kyeisha Clater added 11 points, five steals and five rebounds, Anya Jackson eight points, six rebounds and two steals, Kyla Tyeskey six points and 11 rebounds, Kenedii Hogg four points, four rebounds and two steals and Keyounie Alexander two points.

Henderson led 23-22 at halftime.

NORTH LAMAR 60, PITTSBURG 43

PARIS — The North Lamar Lady Panthers raced out to a 19-11 lead after one quarter on the way to a 60-43 District 14-4A win over the Pittsburg Lady Pirates.

Randieunna Jeffery had 10 points in the loss for Pittsburg. Gina Mackey finished with eight, Era Osornio, Araceli Moreno and Nataly Gonzalez six apiece, Aubrey Chalmers three and Camryn Mackey two.

TATUM 62, SABINE 31

TATUM — The Tatum Lady Eagles got 20 points from Kamdyn Scott and a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double from Aundrea Bradley on the way to a 62-31 District 16-3A win over Sabine.

Scott added seven rebounds, five steals, four blocks and three assists, and Bradley chipped in with six assists and six rebounds as the Lady Eagles improved to 18-6 overall and 8-0 in the district.

Patience Price added nine points, four assists and three steals for Tatum, which led 33-6 after one quarter and 41-19 at halftime. Kaleigh Hooker finished with eight points, six assists and three rebounds, Rhianna Harris eight points, seven rebounds and two steals, Alecia Halton five points, two assists and three steals, Addyson Saunders two points and two rebounds and Kyndal Greenwood two rebounds.

Madison Pierce finished with eight points in the loss for Sabine. Sarah Roberts, Autumn Rhodes, Ella Dot Phillips and Presley Johnson all had four points, Taylor Galey three and Jayda Lewis and Jada Kranzaman two apiece.

GLADEWATER 54, WEST RUSK 51

NEW LONDON — In an overtime thriller, Paytin Thompson scored 23 points and added 11 steals, three rebounds and two assists for Gladewater as the Lady Bears notched a 54-51 District 16-3A win over West Rusk.

Kizyah Miles added eight points and four rebounds for the Lady Bears. Sarya Miles had seven points and six rebounds, and Kamila Turner, Khera Lincoln and Karlee Moses all scored six points. Moses added 13 rebounds, Lincoln four rebounds and Turner three rebounds.

HARMONY 53, HUGHES SPRINGS 36

HUGHES SPRINGS — Triniti Mauk scored 18 of her 27 points in the first half to help Harmony build a 34-16 lead, and the Lady Eagles finished it off in the second half for a 53-36 District 13-3A victory over Hughes Springs.

Evie Helpenstill had 10 points, Mally Davidson eight, Rendi Seahorn six and Kenner Pylant two for the Lady Eagles.

Kate McKinney had 13 points, Fantasi Smith 11, Jordyn Moore five, Texcee Kelley three and Kinlee Twilley two in the loss for Hughes Springs.

JEFFERSON 47, NEW DIANA 27

JEFFERSON — Keinysa Wallace recorded a 17-point, 13-rebound double-double, Jordyn Davidson added 12 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals and the Jefferson Lady Bulldogs notched a 47-27 win over the New Diana Lady Eagles in District 13-3A action.

Stormi McNeil added seven points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and four blocks for Jefferson. Janaa Goynes finished with five points, six rebounds and three steals, Destiny Kelly four points and Jazmyne Luster two points and four rebounds.

Starrmia Dixon scored 16 points to go along with three rebounds and three steals in the loss for New Diana. Sawyer Stapleton added four points and two rebounds, Jolie Ballard two points, five rebounds and three steals, Natalie Manes two points and three rebounds, Bailey Tennimon two points and two rebounds and Taryn Reece one point, three rebounds and two steals.

AVINGER 49, AVERY 18

AVINGER — Jordyn Dowell and Charlene Kress combined for 25 points, and the No. 24 ranked Avinger Lady Indians rolled to a 49-18 District 20-A win over Avery.

Dowell finished with 15 points, and Kress had 10 for Avinger. LaNyiah Williams chipped in with nine points, Haylee Downs eight and Abby Alexander six.

Avinger will host Bloomburg on Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m.

TROUP 42, ARP 32

TROUP — ZaQuirah Jordan dropped in 20 points, and the Troup Lady Tigers built a big lead early on the way to a 42-32 District 16-3A win over Arp.

Qhenja Jordan and Amari Shepard added seven points apiece for Troup, which led 15-5 after one quarter and 22-10 at halftime. Paisley Skinner and Jakeira Davis finished with three points apiece, and Hannah Cearley added two points.

CADDO MILLS 35, WILLS POINT 34

WILLS POINT — In District 13-4A action, Caddo Mills held on for a 35-34 win over Wills Point.

Maddy Allen scored 11 points in the loss for Wills Point.
