Grace Community falls to Cedar Hill Trinity Christian, 63-28

The Grace Community Cougars traveled to Cedar Hill on Friday night to face the league leading and defending state champion Trinity Christian Tigers, losing by a final of 63-28.
The Cougars went toe-to-toe with the undefeated Tigers for the first quarter, scoring on an 83-yard touchdown pass from Braydon Stone to Alvin Skipworth and an Uchenna Uduma one-yard TD run.
Trinity Christian scored on a fourth-down wide receiver reverse with 47 seconds left in the quarter to take a 21-14 lead. The Cougar defense played tough in the second quarter, keyed by a Josh Murray forced fumble that was recovered by Kaden Ramirez. The Tigers scored again near the end of the quarter and led at the half, 28-14.
In the second half, Stone scrambled for a 19-yard touchdown run and hit Skipworth for a 15 yard touchdown pass. Stone finished with 180 yards passing and 73 yards rushing. Skipworth had four receptions for 119 yards. Leading tacklers for Grace were Josh Murray with 12 and Wes Tolleson with nine.
The Cougars (5-4, 2-2) will close out the regular season next Friday night at home against Dallas Christian.
