Henderson County authorities arrest Payne Springs woman on drug distribution charge, man on possession of stolen firearm charge

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in Payne Springs and arrested a woman suspected of dealing illegal drugs and a man suspected of possessing what authorities believe was a stolen firearm, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.  

The sheriff’s office said deputies and an officer from the Payne Springs Police Department took Stephanie Denise Wray, 51, and Roy Glen Hyde, 50, both of Payne Springs, into custody at a residence on Cillacothe Trail in Cherokee Shores.



Deputies obtained the search warrant and executed it Monday.

Wray was taken to the Henderson County Jail and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 weighing more than 4 grams, but less than 200 grams.  

As of 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Wray was being held on a $10,000 bond.

Hyde was taken the jail and charged with possession of a stolen firearm. His bond was set at $10,000 and he bonded out Tuesday.
