Officials work Thursday afternoon near where police say two people were shot in the 2500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard in Longview (Les Hassell/Longview News-Journal)

A 29-year-old man has been pronounced dead due to injuries sustained in a shooting that happened at 3:43 p.m. Thursday at a business on the 2500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard in Longview. 

Another man, 18, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

The names of the two individuals have not been released.

During the course of the investigation, police learned that the two men were shot in the parking lot.

One was taken by a private vehicle and the other was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
