Tyler convenience store robbery suspect in custody in Cherokee County

A man suspected of robbing a Tyler convenience store on Front Street is in custody in Cherokee County.

Tyler police learned Thursday that Ty Levi Golightly, 19, of Lufkin, turned himself in at the Cherokee County Jail on a probation violation. 



Golightly confessed to the Monday robbery of the Conoco station in the 1700 block of East Front Street, a robbery in Jacksonville and one in Lufkin. 

Golightly is being held in the Cherokee County Jail on a probation violation and an aggravated robbery charge on bonds totaling $750,000, according to Tyler police.
