CARTHAGE 15, CUMBERLAND 3

Brooks Soape and Sam Watson drove in three runs apiece to lead the Carthage Bulldogs to a 15-3 win over Cumberland Academy in District 16-4A action in Tyler.



Soape doubled for the Bulldogs. Cale Preston had three hits and an RBI. Cade Ross singled twice. Kaden Ritter singled and drove in two runs. Maddox Martinez doubled and plated a run. Blayton LaGrone added two RBI, and River Leach chipped in with one RBI.

Cade Moore struck out four with no walks or hits allowed in three innings. Judson Tabor fanned two and walked one in two innings.

GILMER 3, CHAPEL HILL 2

GILMER — Ryder Lange singled with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to plate Brayden Pate with the winning run as the Gilmer Buckeyes walked off with a 3-2 District 16-4A win over Chapel Hill.

Pate was intentionally walked earlier in the inning.

Zach Turner finished with two singles and an RBI for the Buckeyes. Chevy Edwards doubled, and Klein Lindsey singled twice and drove in a run.

Lindsey went five innings on the mound, striking out six and walking three. Brendon Darnold struck out six and walked four in four innings.

WHITE OAK 10, SABINE 0

WHITE OAK — Collin Wheat tossed a no-hitter at Sabine, striking out 10 and walking two in five innings as the White Oak Roughnecks notched a 10-0 District 16-3A win.

Logan Langewisch doubled and drove in three runs, and Brady Greenwood added a single and two RBI for White Oak. Levi Sipes doubled and drove in a run, and Jordy Robertson, Jaxsen Ludlow and Will Thomas all chipped in with RBI.

HARLETON 21, WASKOM 3 

WASKOM — Carson Wallace blasted two grand slams to go along with a triple – driving in nine runs – as the Harleton Wildcats earned a 21-3 District 19-2A win over Waskom.

Gage Shirts had a double, two singles and two RBI for Harleton. Caleb Correa singled three times and drove in a run. Bryce Bowen doubled, singled and plated two runs. Buddy Nipp had two singles. Shawn Booth doubled and drove in two runs, and Lucas Townlin and Bryce Lockhart added RBI.

Townlin struck out seven and walked one in four innings. Bowen pitched two innings, striking out three and issuing one walk.

OVERTON 10, CARLISLE 5

OVERTON — Brody Brown doubled, singled and drove in three runs, Mason Rowe added a double and three RBI and the Overton Mustangs picked up a 10-5 District 19-2A win over the Carlisle Indians.

Braxton Harper had two singles and an RBI, and Rylan Holleman singled and drove in a run.

Bryce Still struck out six with four walks and one earned run allowed in six innings.

CHIRENO 10, GARY 7

CHIRENO — In District 23-2A action, the Chireno Owls scored eight times in the bottom of the fourth inning and held on for a 10-7 win over the Gary Bobcats.

Tucker Grubbs struck out six and walked five in 3.2 innings for Gary. Easton Alford fanned three with one walk in 1.1 innings, and Brodey Seals pitched one inning with two strikeouts and two walks.

Aiden Scogins singled three times and drove in two runs for Gary. Kohl Woodfin added two hits and two rBI, and Grubbs and Cash Harrold drove in a run apiece.
