Funeral services for Ernest Dale Terry, age 77, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas with Pastor John Roach officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Dale died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his residence in Lindale. He was born on August 30, 1940 in Lindale, Texas to the late Wilbur Sherwood and Erna Mae (Boaz) Terry and was a lifelong resident of Lindale. Dale owned Lindale’s first convenience store, The Dairy Way, which offered the first Icee’s and rotisserie chicken in Lindale. Dale had most recently worked as an independent insurance agent for Copeland Insurance in Longview, Texas and was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Lindale Masonic Lodge #848. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Terry and sister, Ann Terry. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Joan Terry of Lindale, Texas; daughters & sons-in-law, Sally & Troy Cagle of Kyle, Texas and Amy & Dale Schneberger of Kyle, Texas; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jerry & Cheryl Terry of Lindale, Texas and Joe Don & Melisa Terry of Lindale, Texas; 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Bob Terry, John Tom Terry, Mason Terry, Spencer Terry, Caleb Middleton, Carson Middleton, Lane Cagle, and Logan Reed. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
