Sophia Baker Lenderman

Services for Sophia Jean Lenderman will be held on 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in White-house, with the Rev. Bennie Port-wood officiating, under the direction of Jackson’s Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Whitehouse TX.

Sophia, “Mimi,” died on August 27, 2018, peacefully at her home with her children by her side. She was born October 3, 1930, in Gladewater, Texas to her parents A.C. and Annie Mae Baker. She was an angel on Earth. She loved her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and anyone who came into contact with her. She prayed for those she cared about her entire life and changed the life of many by bringing them to know her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved serving her church.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Martin Lend-erman; her parents, her brothers, June, Bake. J.A and Pop.

Survivors include her children, Betsy Meredith .Jimmy and Mary Lenderman, and Susan Helmer all of Whitehouse, and Gary and Missy Lenderman of Bossier City. She had 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or the Highway 80 Rescue.
