Services for Ruth Holley, 93 of Tyler, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 in the chapel of Jackson’s Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Tyler Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. Mrs. Holley passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in Tyler. She was born September 9, 1925 in Tyler to the late Jasper Wiley Warren and Maggie Estelle Henderson Warren. She has lived in Tyler her whole life, was a loving housewife, mother and grandmother, great-grandmother and was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlon L. (Red) Holley; and by three sisters and three brothers; also by a son, Larry Holley. Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Jessica Holley of Kilgore and Ronnie and Susie Holley of Jacksonville; one daughter, Blinda Collins of Tyler; 8 grandchildren, Ronnie Holley, Rebekah Holley, R.J. Holley, Justin Beam, Melissa Trout, Michael Collins, Amanda Holley and Ashley Holley-Burkett and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Carl Honeycutt, Shannon Swatman, John King and Ronnie B.
