Texas College celebrates homecoming with annual parade

As part of the numerous homecoming activities held by Texas College for the past week, the college celebrated with a parade Saturday morning.
Parade entries ranged from classic cars and local cheer squads to bands and representatives from various local organizations.

The parade began at Englewood Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and followed a route that led to the college’s campus.
After the parade, a battle of the bands took place. The Texas College Alumni Purple & Gold Basketball game followed that competition.
In the evening, the Texas College Steers played its homecoming game against Langston University at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.
