19th Annual Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament, Saturday, 1 – 4 p.m., 12557 Spur 364 W. in Tyler (Lindsey Park). Join the City of Tyler for the Tyler Parks and Recreation’s 19th Annual Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament benefiting the East Texas Food Bank and Tyler Parks and Recreation. Sickle Cell Blood Drive, Saturday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., 1701 N Tenneha Ave. in Tyler (North Tenneha Church of Christ). There is no universal cure for sickle cell disease, but blood transfusions are proven to effectively treat the disease, so join Red Cross Blood at the Renaissance Center to donate blood in Memory of Jessie McLendon. Longview Texas Gun Show, Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., 100 Grand Blvd. in Longview (Maude Cobb Convention Center). Thousands of reptiles, amphibians, inverts, feeders, supplies and more are all available for purchase to the public at discounted prices. Viking 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, Saturday, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., 919 W Marshall Ave. in Longview (Paul Boorman Trail Park). This viking-themed U.S. Road Running Club Race is a part of the U.S. Road Running Race Series. While it is not required to dress up to participate, there will be an award for Best Dressed viking. Arts!Longview Honors, Saturday 6:30 – 10:30 p.m., 500 E Whaley St. in Longview (Longview Community Center). Join Longview’s Cultural Arts District’s one-night celebration that includes red carpet entry, complimentary valet parking, hors d’oeuvres, drinks and live music, and then Broadway-style program with performances by all of Longview’s performing arts groups. Texas Open National Martial Arts Championships, Friday – Saturday, 3 – 6 p.m., 3101 Spring Hill Rd. in Longview (Spring Hill Junior High School).
