Tyler Junior College will kick off its new Legends of TJC program with Admiral Bobby R. Inman Day on campus.

The program will induct Inman as its first honoree on Tuesday, March 28. The day’s events include a breakfast with faculty, staff and students at 9 a.m. and the dedication of Admiral Bobby Inman Lecture Hall at 10 a.m.

Inman’s career accomplishments include serving as the director of naval Intelligence, the director of the National Security Agency, the deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency and as chair of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.

Inman graduated from TJC in 1948 and transferred to the University of Texas at Austin and joined the Navy in 1951. He retired at 1982.
