Desmond Juwon Woods, 40, was booked early Sunday into the jail on a warrant for parole violation from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, according to Upshur County Sheriff Larry Webb.

Jail staff was notified about 8 p.m. Sunday that Woods was not feeling well, according to Webb.

Camp County EMS was called and began treating Woods when they arrived at the jail. While being treated, Woods coughed up a bag of what appeared to be illegal narcotics, according to Webb. For the full story go to Longview News Journal at news-journal.com.
